Job Purpose

The Administrator to the Director Curriculum Development and Research Officer provides efficient, effective and compliant confidential secretarial support to the Director Curriculum Development and Research Officer in a one-on-one working relationship, as well as secretariat services to the Curriculum Subcommittee, to assure efficiency and effectiveness in the operations of the Office of Curriculum Instruction and Innovation.

S/He serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external constituencies on all matters pertaining to the Office of Curriculum Instruction and Innovation, organising and coordinating executive outreach and external relations efforts; and oversees special projects as may be assigned occasionally.

Authority

  • Circulate memoranda and circulars
  • Coordinate meeting and similar event logistics
  • Conduct research and execute special assignments as directed
  • Follow up on outstanding matters
  • Liaise with stakeholders, clients and the public
  • Make necessary arrangements for office equipment and supplies to ensure availability and preserve functionality accordingly
  • Make logistic arrangements for the review session, workshops, etc. on behalf of the Office of Curriculum Instruction and Innovation
  • Maintain confidential filing and records management system for the Office of the Curriculum Instruction and Innovation
  • Manage diary and schedules
  • Prepare, vet, and circulate memoranda, circulars and other documentation as required
  • Respond to routine correspondence, reports, etc.
  • Screen telephone calls and visitor

Minimum Required Education and Experience

  • First degree in the social sciences, business administration, management studies, communications or related field
  • Professional Secretarial Certification from an accredited institution and/or Diploma in Administrative Management
  • Five (5) years’ related experience supporting senior executives and dealing with matters of a confidential and sensitive nature.

REMUNERATION

Salary scale: $ 2 803 771.00 – $ 3 770 761.00 per annum
